Hi, I’m Leydi.
I’ve always been obsessed with making things better. Not just prettier. Better.
Before starting The Organized Leydi (the name was my husband’s idea. I rolled my eyes. He was right. We’ve moved on), I spent twenty years in higher education administration building systems, managing operations, and making complicated things work. If something felt chaotic, I needed to know why. And then I needed to fix it.
When I began organizing people’s homes, something became clear. It wasn’t about the stuff. The stress wasn’t random. The clutter wasn’t random. It was deeper than that.
I’m Dominican-American. A first-generation builder.
A systems thinker with a creative streak. A boy mom. Married to someone whose immigration story intersects with mine in a way that feels straight out of a rom-com. We came to the U.S. on the exact same day as children. Yes. Really.
I’m happiest with an audiobook in my headphones while I reset a space, or out with friends laughing too loudly and dancing the night away. I believe structure and joy can coexist. I believe elegance and real life are not opposites.
I may joke about becoming the Dominican Martha Stewart, but what I really mean is this: I care deeply about how we live, and I’m not afraid to talk about it everywhere.
“your work has transformed my life”
“I cannot tell you how much your work has transformed my life. I’ve been a chronic over-buyer of groceries and junk that doesn’t feel like junk in the moment (kid supplies, household items etc). Being forced to confront everything jammed in the background of my life has made me totally reevaluate my relationship to items. I am so grateful for how kind you are through this journey!
”
